Categories Update Form

Reached from: Main Menu -> Lists-> Categories Button

This form is where you update the list of categories that is available on the Dance Details form. (If you are using the DanceMaster Record Librarian, the same list is available there.) You can select dances by category on the Select Screen, making it easy to choose some Christmas dances, for instance.  You might also have a "Fanfare" category with things like "Happy Birthday", a drum roll, a trumpet fanfare, "Here Comes The Bride", and other special occasion / special effects sounds.

To add a new category, type the category in the blank line at the bottom of the list. (The one with the '*'.)  Then click the "OK" button.  (It will appear after you start typing.)  Once you do add a new category, the program will get upset if you don’t give it a name. You can’t even delete a new entry without typing something into it first, so if you change your mind about adding one, type anything into the new line, then delete it.

To change an existing category, just type over it. To remove one, select it by clicking on it, then pres the “Del” key on your keyboard. Just don't delete the last one.
