Color Codes   Grad (Advanced Edition)

DanceMaster keeps track of when you cue each dance at each venue.  It can use that information to tell you which dances you are doing a lot (overdoing?), and which ones you might be neglecting.

Here's how it works: each time you play a dance at the current venue, it gets "points".  If you play a dance often, it accumulates a lot of points.  But because it matters more that you played it 9 times last month than if you played it 9 times 5 months ago, these points "evaporate" over time.  So if a dance has, for instance 500 points today, it might be down to 400 points next week and 325 the week after.  (Unless, of course, you play it in the meantime, which would give it additional points.)  And points are specific to each venue, so playing a dance a lot at your Tuesday night club has no effect on its points at your Thursday class.

If you have color codes turned on, the Select screen will show the dance names in different colors, determined by the number of points each dance has this week.  (You turn color codes on and off using the "Color Codes" menu choice at the top of the Select Dances screen.)

Because I know darn well that you won't agree with my choices of colors, you can choose your own colors for each category (Overdone. Done Often, Medium, Seldom and Neglected).  you also get to determine how many points is too many.  You do that by clicking on one of the color labels (not the color) near the top of the screen.  For instance, click on the word "Overdone"..  On the form that opens, click one of the descriptions in the middle column.  A square showing that category's current color will appear, and you can change that by moving the sliders on the left part of the screen.  As you move the slider (and let go of it) that square will show the new color.  When you have it adjusted to your satisfaction, click a different description.

The "Restore Default Colors" button is there in case you get frustrated.

Change the point thresholds by just typing a new number in the appropriate threshold box.
