Reached from: Main Menu -> Select Dances These buttons are used on the main screens to take you from place to place in the program..
Takes you to the Select Screen, your main Dance Menu. This is where you find a particular dance to play or update, review dances of a given phase and / or rhythm, choose the dances that go into Tonight’s Program, and see what dances you are doing too often. Play: Invokes the Play / Preview Screen, where you can review details about the selected dance, look over the cue card, set the speed, set bookmarks, and actually play the music. Playlist: This is where you work with a program for a particular dance. You can re-arrange the order of the dances, remove dances from the list, add markers to separate parts of the program, and save your dance program to disk. Or load a previously saved program. This screen also shows you what dances you have done in this session. Dance Details: Dance Details is the mini-database form. This is where you make changes to the currently selected dance, add new dances, remove dances from the database, and attach cue card, music and voice files. Dance Log: After you have been using the DanceMaster Player Advanced Edition for a while, you will probably come here often to review your dance history. This form will show you what dances you have cued, and when and where you cued them. You can see the history of the currently selected dance, all the dances you did on or between two dates, or all the dances you have done at a particular venue. Class Log: This function is not implemented at this time. Notes: This will show you notes you have made about a particular dance or venue. Timer: You can set two pop-up timers to go off after some number of minutes. They can flash on the screen and optionally play a sound of your choosing. This can be handy for calling the dancers (and yourself) back from the refreshment table. Lists: This takes you to the lists menu. There you can choose one of several lists (Rhythms, Categories, Venues, etc.) to update. Main Menu:, Help: About what you’d expect. |
