What it does

DanceMaster Player’s main function is to let you use your portable computer (laptop) instead of mini-disks or records to teach and cue round dances. You don’t need to carry boxes of records or a stack of mini-disks and a notebook of cue cards to a dance because all the music and cues are in the computer.  Whenever you select a dance the cues are shown on the screen automatically and the music is ready to play at the touch of a button.  No more searching through record boxes or disk indexes for a particular dance – just type part of its name and “Poof” – it is ready to play.

However, the DanceMaster Player (DMP) can do much more than simply replacing conventional equipment.

It creates a menu of your dances, listed alphabetically, for you to choose from. A couple of keystrokes or mouse clicks will change your menu to show your dances of just one phase and/or rhythm (all your phase IV waltzes, for instance), to make it easy to choose a dance.
You can pre-program your evening – decide which dances to do in what sequence, and the Player will play them for you in that order. Of course, you can mix dances from your pre-programmed list and from the menu at will. You can even save your dance program on disk and re-load (and re-play) it at a later time.
You can adjust the playback speed of any given dance and DMP will always play it at that speed from then on (if you want it to).
You can set and save “bookmarks” in each dance so you can jump to / play / repeat particular segments of the dance for teaching.
You can make corrections to your cue cards on the fly.
You can store your dances and move them between computers in the form of Dance Modules.

The Basic Edition of DMP does all this and then some…

But Wait! There's more...
