A citizen collective provides equipment to the Oloron hospital
Throughout the crisis, the Solidarité hospitalière collective collected medical equipment to supply health professionals in the area, their last donation being made this Saturday at the Oloron hospital.
Since March, 70 people have come together around Solidarité hospitalière, a collective whose mission is to help health professionals in the area acquire all kinds of equipment.
3,800 gloves, 116 gowns ...
This Saturday, around thirty members made a significant donation to the Oloron hospital: 116 gowns, 34 visors, 13 full suits, 3,800 gloves, 70 plastic aprons and 24 washable masks were indeed collected especially for the health establishment in the capital of Haut-Béarn.The collective began to supply the Oloron hospital in March, which had launched a call for the making of masks on its Facebook page.For three months, equipment was supplied every week to various health professionals from all over Béarn.The collective made its very last delivery this Saturday in Oloron.
"Many donations have poured in to help us in our task," explains a member of the solidarity group."We were also able to count on around forty volunteers for the manufacture of masks.These actions carried out throughout the crisis have enabled us to feel useful, by coming to the help of professionals who were often in great need ”.
